  • Tender Nook Home Care specializes in non-medical home care. We do not replace physicians or registered nurses. However, we work alongside families and healthcare professionals to support clients safely at home.

  • Absolutely. Minimum of 3hours per visit

    We offer flexible scheduling, including:

    • Short visits

    • Morning or evening care

    • Overnight support

    • Weekend care

    • Extended daily care


    We will recommend a schedule that best meets your needs.

Caregivers

  • Yes.

    All caregivers undergo our hiring process, which may include:

    • Identity verification

    • Legal authorization to work in Canada

    • Employment reference checks

    • Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC), where required

    • Vulnerable Sector Check (where applicable to the role)

    • Verification of relevant education and certifications

  • Whenever possible, we aim to provide consistency by assigning the same caregiver or a small, familiar team of caregivers. If a substitute is ever required, we will communicate with you in advance whenever reasonably possible.

  • Yes.

    Finding the right caregiver-client relationship is important. If you feel a different caregiver would be a better fit, please let us know, and we will work with you to identify a suitable alternative.

  • Yes.

    We understand that culture, language, faith, and food are important parts of daily life. Whenever possible, we consider cultural preferences, language compatibility, dietary needs, and personal routines when matching caregivers and developing care plans.

    Our caregivers can prepare meals based on your dietary requirements and cultural preferences, provided the meal preparation falls within the agreed care plan and the necessary ingredients are available.

  • Absolutely.

    Our caregivers can assist with establishing and maintaining daily schedules, including meals, personal care, appointments, medication reminders, exercise routines, and meaningful activities that support independence and well-being.
